UX/UI Design: Mermaid Lagoon APP
An app design for UX/UI studies asked where we were asked to create a fictitious zoo that featured any animals of our choosing. From that the ‘Mermaid Lagoon Sanctuary,’ app was created, which featured mythical creatures and real creatures of the sea. The project highly focused on designing an app from wireframes to a final web mock-up with InVision. A total of six preliminary exhibit screens, tertiary screens, and a final animated loading page were required to be executed. Additional screens such as the ticket screen, were created, and the final designs were received positively.
Finalized designs took a month to complete, and once the designs were finalized my feedback was wanting to know how I achieved certain illustrations and possibly made small alterations to the map. Above are most of the screen designs for the Mermaid Lagoon Sanctuary app. Extra screens included are the ticket screens as well as the profile screen, and only one screen of the exhibit is missing the Octopus Exhibit. To the left are the first wireframes as we as the logo process. The logo was decided through an anonymous advisory sheet to give notes as well as input on logo and color schemes that were successful.
Project executed in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
