Kinetic Poster: Glastonbury Festival

The Glastonbury kinetic poster was a project focused on re-imaging a new design concept for the then-upcoming festival. The design was influenced by the main stages’ superior tent design, while the colors were influenced by the aesthetic of the Bauhaus movement. The poster requirements were there had to be movement throughout the poster and it could not be static. The lines above, as well as the Glastonbury text, were placed in a triangle shape to represent the main stage and the circles in the middle I thought could represent the performers.

Poster Design Process

For the movements I had all the lines come in and out of the poster and it was all executed with Illustrator and After Effects. Also, the circles pulsed to reflect the beats to represent the music coming from the festival performers. The following on the left is the poster design process while above is the mood board. Shown above are the main tent of the past Glastonbury events and the banner of the 2022 website. Also pictured are posters of Bauhaus posters and designers.

Project executed with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects.
